The 5th edition of the PPE Regulation Guidelines (October 2025) has been published by the European Commission.  

The updates compared to the 4th edition concern the topics and the following sections:

• pillar valves for SCUBA cylinders, section 2.3,
• crampons for tree climbing, point 3.4. of the categorisation guide,
• water polo caps, point 4.1 of the categorisation guide,
• finger guards for cutting aid, point 9.1 of the categorisation guide,and
• back protectors for paragliders, point 12.3 of the categorisation guide.
