Topic 1 : Market Surveillance

The purpose of this discussion is to exchange the experiences of the participants with market surveillance since the introduction of the Regulation. Any change compared to the way of operating under the Directive ? Implementation of guidance documents ? Harmonisation ? What can an organisation as ESF do to support the market surveillance authorities and help acting against non-compliant PPE ?

Topic 2 : Notified Bodies

Harmonisation of work of Notified Bodies ? Knowledge of NBs of legislation, of guidance documents, of standards, of application of the PPE ? Information provided by NBs ? capacity at NBs ? Certification of innovative PPE (no standard available) ?

Topic 3 : Standards

Are standards helping the system ? SWOT ? Role of harmonised standards ? Are standards reflecting reality (products and use of PPE) ? Effects of revision of standard ? Role of NBs / authorities / trade organisations in information about standards ? Role in development of standards ?
