What We Do

We represent

The ESF represents the interests of its members towards the European institutes and other relevant stakeholder organisations (coordination of notified bodies and market surveillance authorities, standardisation, occupational health and safety community, …). Over 600 companies (indirectly and directly) are part of the ESF community, of which at least 70% are SMEs.

We assist & support

We assist our membership by providing information, be it written or through webinars or other events, on issues related to the legislative frame for PPE. This is not limited to the PPE product Regulation (EU)2016/425 or the PPE use Directive 89/656/EEC, but also to other legislation with an impact on PPE, such as ‘green deal’ and ‘digitisation’ or occupational health and safety.

We protect

By expressing our views from the proposal stage of (interpretation of) legislation, we protect the interests of the sector and more general of the health and safety of workers and citizens. This requires a continuous communication with all involved actors.
